More than one third of drivers do not yield to pedestrians at zebra crossings, eventhough law says so. On the other hand, only 1 out of 50 pedestrians is not respecting approaching car and steps to the road in the situation, which is risky (car is too close, or behavior of pedestrian is unexpected) (Sucha, 2014).
